Post 543 is dedicated to positively impacting the lives of local veterans, their families, and the youth in the community. Our mission includes providing direct support to active duty service members and their families across Eastern North Carolina.
We are committed to fostering patriotism and citizenship by working with educational institutions to offer valuable education and leadership opportunities. Annually, our Post Service Team handles over 100 cases, assisting veterans with life challenges and navigating the VA system.
Additionally, Post 543 honors our esteemed veterans by offering an Honor Guard for those discharged honorably, ensuring they receive Military Honors at their burial or interment. Furthermore, American Legion baseball plays a crucial role in teaching good sportsmanship, teamwork, and citizenship while offering a platform for competitive and supervised recreation.
